Genesis 7:17-18 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.  The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.

Noah had faith to do as God commanded and was ridiculed by others.  HLHS resembles the ark because many doubted that the school was necessary or would be able to survive.  How much faith and trust do we have in God to keep Heartland Lutheran High School floating and providing a Christ-centered education for young men and women in Central Nebraska?

Heartland Lutheran has many avenues to supplement our "10 Years and Beyond" campaign.  Each of these are the means to establish stability in the school and hold the MINISTRY up so that God can do His work, just like the water held up the ark so Noah, his family, and all the animals could multiply and be fruitful.

Goals of "10 Years and Beyond"
    1.  Raise necessary funds for operating expenses so more focus can
         be put on developing higher education and estabilsh the "education
         of excellence" desired.
    2.  Reach 100 students attending Heartland Lutheran High School.  Just
         like the ark was filled with Noah's family and animals, we want to fill
         our building with students from Central Nebraska receiving an
         education to prepare them to go out into the world and make a
         difference.

Genesis 9:13  I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

We are reminded of God's covenant every time we see a rainbow.  God watched over Noah and his family to keep them safe through the flood and provide for their future.

God is also watching over His Heartland Lutheran family and providing for the FUTURE of His school.  Through Faith, Trust, Commitment, and Dedication, HLHS will be held up so that HLHS will continue to be known as the place WHERE FAITH AND EDUCATION MEET!

ARK STABILIZER

This segment of the 10 Years and Beyond campaign is the main protection from the large waves of turmoil from the world and will achieve our first goal of the campaign.  In as little as five years the school can be debt free and achieve the desired "education of excellence".

We are looking for as few as 530 "Noahs" to invest in the future of the ark with a commitment listed in the table below:

HORNET DAY SPONSOR

Want to sponsor a day of the year for HLHS?

You can sponsor a day for $350 or two days for $600.  By sponsoring a day you can dedicate it to the memory of a loved one or to a special event in your life.

Sponsorship includes recognition on our website, in the daily announcements, in any programs for events on that day, on monthly calendars, and in the monthly newsletter.

This is a great way to provide funding for daily operating expenses at the school and a dedication to something special in your life.

HARVEST FOR HLHS

This is a new feature of the "10 Years and Beyond" that will be available by the fall of 2010.

Farmers will be able to set aside a portion of their harvest, either a number of acres or a number of bushels, to be donated to HLHS at harvest time.

ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES

We started this ministry in December 2008.  It allows people to purchase food at a reduced price.

The menus change monthly and the food is delivered to HLHS once a month for the customer to pick up the food they ordered.

ADOPT A STUDENT and SEPTEMBERFEST

Goal #2 of 100 students will be assisted by these two features of the campaign.

Adopt a Student allows you to assist in the tuition of a student that has been approved for tuition assistance.  With the adoption you receive letters from the student, an activity pass for the year, and a reserved seat at the student's graduation from HLHS.

Septemberfest is our annual fundraiser for tuition assistance.  All proceeds are set aside to assist in tuition of students that have quailified for assistance.
